……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..…Hargeisa 23 April 2024 {MoFD} – Somaliland Deputy Minister of the Ministry Finance Development Mr. Solomon Jama Dirie together with the Director General of the Ministry of Education Dr. Abdirazaq Jama Nur and the UNICEF Head of Social Policy Mr. Jose Maria Bendito opened a two-day validation workshop jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance Development and the UNICEF which aims to review the effectiveness of the budget allocation [expenditure] of the Education and Health Sectors.
During the meeting will focus on issues such as:
- Presentation on the preliminary findings of the Health and Education PER reports.
- Gathering insightful feedback from the technical teams to validate and enrich the report’s findings and recommendations.
- Strengthening government’s ownership and commitment to the recommended actions.
- And developing actionable policy recommendations.
This report or findings will also focuses on the budget allocations that has been receiving by these two Ministries up to the last 10 years and the effectiveness and the extent of those provisions of education and health services.
In the conclusion of the workshop will set timelines, and will assign responsibilities for action items. And it is expected that it will come out recommendations that points out or indicates the areas that need to be strengthening or improved starting from the current level if Allah allows.
