Deputy-Minister of Ministry of Finance Amb. Rhoda Jama Elmi accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry Mr. Mohamed Abdi Gurhan received a delegation from the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia at the head-quarter of the Ministry of Finance.
The delegation was led by Mss. Marwa Abdiaziz Deputy Minister of Trade and Transport, Second Deputy of the Office of Trade and Transportation, Directorate of Office of the President, Directorate of Financial Management and other Members.
During the bilateral meeting, officials from both sides discussed issues such as:
1. Business and economic growth.
2. How to jointly control inflation.
3. Facilitate the movement of goods and people crossing the border between the two sides.
4. Sharing knowledge and experience with each other.
5. And the establishment of technical committees to continue the agreed points.
At the end of the meeting, other meetings were scheduled, that will take place the commercial city of Wajale and the capital city of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia Jigjiga if Allaah allows.
Finally, Republic of Somaliland and Somali Regional State of Ethiopia have much in common as changes often occur in trade and in general the lives of the two people are equally affected.
