Hargeisa 20 April, 2023 (WHM). A Performance appraisal workshop which is evaluating the Departments of the Ministry of Finance Development for the first quarter of this year was held today {20 April, 2024} at the meeting hall of the Government Accounts General Office.
This workshop, which is quarterly basis and held at the end of every three months, aims to evaluate what each department has done against their work plan, while the director of each department presented in front of the Ministry’s Senior-management a quarterly performance report on what was done in the targets of his/her department during that three-month period, the tasks that were not conducted and the reasons why they could not be done, as well as the challenges that they met during that quarter.
This meeting which was attended by the Minister of the Ministry of Finance Development Dr. Saad Ali Shire, Deputy Minister of the Ministry Mr. Sulayman Jama Dirie, Director General of the Ministry Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman (Mu’adinka) and all the Departmental Directors of the Ministry of Finance Development, it was shown that in the Department’s performance report for that quarter {January-March,2024} good progress has been made in terms of the implementation of the Financial Management Reform Program {PFM}.
Dr. Saad Ali Shire the Minister of the Ministry, who opened the work-shop said: “I want to make you aware of the importance of this three-monthly meeting of the Ministry. Administration is planning, implementation, follow-up and evaluation, what we are sitting here today is how to evaluate what we have done against what we have already planned from January to March, in this year of 2024“.
