Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman, the Director General of the Ministry
Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman was appointed for the current position as Director General of the Ministry of Financial Development in January 2023, after serving as Director General of the National Service Program for four years from October 2018 to January 2023. He also served as the president of Edna Adan University, Hargeisa Somaliland for four years from Dec. 2014 to Oct. 2018, and the president of Alpha University College, Hargeisa Somaliland for three years December, 2010 to Sept, 2013.
Prior to his tenure as director and chairman he served in many committees including Somaliland National AIDS Commission (SOLNAC) , House of Representative of Somaliland, VETAID (International charity organization based in Edinburgh, Scotland), Member of Secretariat, Peace & Reconciliation Committee for Somaliland, War Veterans & Ex-Combatants Association (SOOYAAL), Secretary at Central Command of Liberation Army of Somaliland National Movement {SNM}, Sales & Marketing Officer at Berbera Cement Plant.

Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman is studied Legislative Drafting & Advanced Legal Studied from Mekelle University Ethiopia March, 2020, April 2010 he studied Program Management & Leadership from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Anderson Graduate School of Management, Nairobi Campus, he studied August 2008 Master of Business Administration from Belford University USA, and June, 2006 he studied degree of law from University of Hargeisa, Somaliland.
